A 27-year-old black woman was attacked in the Cleveland Lee/Harvard community on September 9, 2021 according to a Cleveland Police Report (279610). The report was filed by the victim and a witness.
According to the report, Councilman Joseph T. Jones and another man is said to have assaulted and threatened the woman. The woman was frightened. As a result she urinated on herself. According to the report, Jones told the woman, "I will find you. Check my record". Jones is the same councilman who was involved in the "Nate Gray" corruption scandal in early 2000. He is also the same councilperson who stood in the way of the secondary signage for Saniyah Nicholson. Saniyah was the 9 year-old girl who was murdered in Cleveland WARD ONE. The Brown Report Newspaper took the City of Cleveland and Jones to the Ohio Court of Claims because they attempted to hide information regarding the issue of granting the family a memorial. Jones lied to the family, residents and the City of Cleveland. As a result, the memorial was denied by Jones.
Joe T. Jones is the current councilperson of Cleveland WARD ONE. He is a 52 year-old male with a GED. Jones is married to Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court Judge Tonya Johnson-Jones. Jones has a daughter.
The Black Women Commission of Cuyahoga County held a press conference on Saturday, September 2, 2021. The mainstream media refused to cover the event. Now, BWCCC is taking this story directly to community residents.

Charges have not yet been filed on Jones. The victim spoke filed a complaint with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's office of Michael O'Malley. According to our sources, Jones has not been brought in for questioning.
