Join the Black Women Commission of Cuyahoga County every Thursday at 11am on radio station WOVU 95.9 FM for All Talk; No Gossip. The host of the show, Kimberly F. Brown is a former professional radio announcer. Brown is a graduate of the Ohio School of Broadcasting. She worked in radio for 18 years. During the early 90's Brown interned at radio station WZAK 93.1fm under the auspice of Betty J. Haliburton. She worked as a professional radio broadcaster for WRDZ, WMIH, WJTB, and WCDT in Tennessee where she had a syndicated gospel radio program. She brings her old talents to WOVU 95.9FM with several members of the BWCCC. "It's exciting to be back on the air. I love radio" says, Brown. But rather than being a gospel radio announcer, Brown and the ladies of BWCCC will focus on community issues affecting the Black Woman. The purpose of the show is to engage and influence the spirit of the black woman, educate and shakeup the mind of black sisters and swiftly stir-up the soul of our black mothers. Our format:
The Interviews with recent women newsmakers. Who made the news?
The Controversy - The Economy, Crime, Education, Poverty & inequality, Gun Violence, Social In(justice)
The Real News - The Last 24; Our Women All the Time!
The Crazy 8 - Job and Workplace Issues. How to maintain your status in the work place; Less stress - no mess!

Black Women on the bench. I believe that when we support women issues, our communities will benefit greatly from women as we become a force of positive and productive change; No Black Woman Should be Left Behind “It’s no longer a behavior of being ridiculous, but a behavior of confronting real life issues that warrant real life solutions”. Through this program, we believe that we can increase awareness of issues affecting the Black Woman in Cuyahoga County and abroad. Although Brown is the ultimate host of the show, other ladies of BWCCC will serve as the co-host. "I am only starting off the program, others in our organization will eventually serve as the host of the program as we begin to grow. I am excited to share this opportunity with my BWCCC sisters" stated, Brown. Tune in every Thursday at 11am with the Black Women Commission of Cuyahoga County on WOVU 95.9FM.
