Updated: Jun 30, 2022

The Brown Report Newspaper nor the Black Women Commission of Cuyahoga County will not support any person for office who has assaulted a woman.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer is the same newspaper that supported former Judge Lance Mason. Mason killed his wife, Aisha Frazier and now they are calling Cleveland WARD One Councilperson Joe Jones a nice guy. On September 9, 2021, a Cleveland Police Report was filed (21) 279610. The report is under the subtitle of Assault and Menacing.

Elizabeth Sullivan of the Cleveland Plain Dealer was given this official police report via email October 3, 2021, by our President, Kimberly F. Brown. Brown is challenging Jones in the WARD ONE Council Race.

Rather than Elizabeth Sullivan and the Cleveland Plain Dealer editorial board addressing this issue with Jones, they ignored it and called him a nice guy. This behavior is shameful. According to the police report, Jones and his accomplice treated the woman so badly that she had become fearful and teary-eyed, and as a result - she urinated on herself.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer has no respect for the safety of Black Women. They have no respect for Black Women. They knowingly ignored the official Cleveland Police report. We will encourage all Black women to refrain from the Plain Dealer Endorsement Process.

This is why Black Media is vital to our election process. We support the Brown Report. This publication control their own news source. They refuse to tap dance to those who don't live in our communities.

The Black Women Commission of Cuyahoga County, will not allow Sullivan and her egregious editorial board to command substantial services and political malfeasance to control our neighborhoods.

Let us remember, this is the same newspaper that supported former Judge Lance Mason. Mason killed his former wife, Aisha.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer is not a representation of the Black Community. We will encourage all Black women to refrain from the Plain Dealer Endorsement Process.

The Black Women Commission of Cuyahoga County: Plan. Connect, Empower. Improve.
