Cuyahoga County, OH. - On Saturday, July 23, 2022, Congresswoman Shontel Brown of the 11th Congressional District gives honor to the Black Women Commission of Cuyahoga County and the Women Commission for Education and Training (501c3) organization.
"This recognition is an honor" says, Board Member Mikki Smith. The organizations structured the the First Annual Celebrity Carwash and Waterfall Fashion Show in support of 5-year-old Mireya. Mireya is a heart transplant recipient.
Both organizations are instrumental in social justice activism and women issues.
The Black Women Commission of Cuyahoga County was founded in 2018.
The Women Commission of Education and Training was founded in 2020.
